The Cataphract is the clear winner for mobility and variety of weapon load-out's, Atlas are slower/better armoured but also most of their builds will rely on a heavy missile component.

1X or 2X Cataphracts are easiest to build, and FLAME Dragon also works well.

Much like the D and D-DC Atlas, 2X Phract and FLAME feel great as workable mixed hard point mechs.

For mediums I would go with the Hunchback 4G if you want to run multiple autocannons, if you are planning on a single autocannon I would go with the Hunchback 4H because it trades away 2 ballistic hard points for 2 energy.

For a heavy that hasn't been mentioned yet I would take the Dragon 5N for multiple ballistics and the 1C for a single ballistic in favor of more energy. I run a Dragon 1C with a AC10 and 4 medium lasers, and it plays as a decent striker mech.

What sort of ballistic/energy loadout are you thinking for this thing? Atlai have the tonnage, Cataphracts (and on Tuesday, Jagermechs) give you options like speed, jumpjets, arm-mounted ballistics, and better hardpoint layouts.

What he said.
A HBK-4H lets you take a LBX with MLs and you can not only fight, you scare the lights with shotgun blasts.

Heavy - Catapult K2, Cataphract 1X or 3D
Assault - Any but the 7K

Mediums... A bit tougher since you lack the tonnage to do a lot and expect to survive. Hunchback 4G and 4H are capable, Trebuchet 7K can work too. A few of the Cicada variants you can turn into either a PPC boat or Urbanmech, but probably not at the same time.

Edit: spelling
