I have been asking a lot of my fellow gamers this question lately and it seems to have gotten a positive response.
What do you guys think?
Seems everytime Alpine comes up people get upset.
Quite often one or more people just leave the match, which totally throws the balance and ruins the game.

Do you think this would help, to make the larger maps more fun and acceptable to the community?
As it is, the larger maps have not been recieving a good welcome.
Would it make them more fun/acceptable to you?

I think a reasonable increase to the reward, based on average time played, would be just the thing to make people actually enjoy the larger maps, rather than dread them..

No. The problem isn't the rewards, its the map itself, its too big, dull and EXTREMELY biased towards long ranged/light mechs.

I fixed your post. Also, as they add in more stuff like savior bonus the rewards will get boosted. I've noticed a decent boost from savior alone.

I run both snipers and brawlers. It doesn't require any tactics that I can't do on the other maps, makes it too easy for scouts to just cap, and is heavily biased towards ranged builds (i get board with my ranged builds on that map because it is pretty much literally shooting fish in a barrel). It is nice to have a big map, but it is a poorly designed map. All the maps are too onesided to either brawling or ranged. Probably the most balanced map that promotes both range and brawling is Caustic valley.

Rewards are not the problem with the larger maps. The issue is simple, I cant pick which mech I want for what map.

If I am dropping from a drop ship into a large wide open area I want my LRM/AC2 atlas, not my brawler atlas. If I could pick the mech once I know the map this would be mute point. Everyone would have a mech, in there opinion, good for the map being played and no one would hate the larger maps then.

No other problem exists with the large maps other than Mech selection.

no

but it really needs to be more populated... 8v8 is way too little
also would be interesting if starting points would change from time to time and for conquest it absolutely needs increasing winning amount of resources... 750 is fine on those smaller maps but here it is just not enough

The alpine map is already my favorite, no matter what build I drive. I also know a lot of other pilots who love it. Therefore I see no need to increase rewards for that map.
I should add though that all my brawlers are fast, and my slow mechs all have long range weapons. So I have to suspect everyone who QQs here to play slow brawlers, like boomcats and SRM only stalkers, and the like.
If you play such imbalanced builds, it's your own fault.

No, the goal is the same no matter how far you have to drive.

Going to agree with Xenok, the issue is mech selection, but this has always been an issue. Finding yourself on Caustic with a 'Hot" mech, is annoying, but I think this issue will go away with CW. If you know you're dropping on a hot planet, you'll have a build ready to compensate that. As far as distance... well, the dropship isn't always going to be able to put you on the front door of the enemy... that's just not safe.

I'm ok with matches lasting more than 2m 30s, bring on bigger maps.

No, small maps should yield lower rewards and be used for 4v4s instead of 8v8s.

Hopefully at some point we can pick the drop size we want as well. 4v4, 8v8, 12v12 or 16v16. I would personally rather see the larger drops of 12v12 on the larger maps we have now and stick with 8 mans on the smaller ones, but see no reason why a person should not be able to look for a 4v4 game from a lobby.

The big maps are my favorite. Feels less like an arena when we can't see from spawn to spawn.

I didn't consider that they might be worth less c-bills per time spent on them. If that's the case, I can understand your suggestion to bring all maps on equal footing. If it paves way for more big maps, I'm all for it.
