No, no to everything Cone of fire is a terrible mechanic. Weapons get hot, super hot. it doesn't effect their targeting. If I'm shooting my ak, it will get hot. If I touch the barrel I will burn myself, but I will still be able to use the sights. Or for a better comparison, a tank's barrel will heat up, but it doesn't affect the targeting computers what so ever.
The only things can happen is, the barrel can melt, and a round might cook off.(seriously doubt it)
