Thinking out loud:
- Just had a Medium. (X-5)
- Had the Pretty Baby month before.
- Don't see them doing a Hero Jager and heard the Founder's Cat is considered the Hero.

That leaves Lights in my belief, probably the Spider or Raven.

For giggles, I say make a Spider that can carry an AC/20.

So far the smart money is on the Stalker. Can't see them doing a Raven unless it's a ploy to convince players not to run 3Ls.

If a Hero Raven is released and its any good, it will ENCOURAGE 3L users, because it will make it easier to grind up to Elite...

Anyway, I'm hoping for... lets see.... a Hero Atlas, with 4x the armor and four ballistic hardpoints (LA, LT, RT, RA).

A hero Stalker would be nice, that's my favorite assault chassis. But what I'd really like to see is a brawler medium, wang is too much of a one trick pony and X5 is a light mech with a case of mistaken identity.

In order of my uniformed but usually right predictions:

1) Stalker
2) Jager Mech
3) Spider

It could be 1 or 2 first, but it won't be 3 first.

Actually none of the Founder's mechs have a Hero variant. No Hero Jenner, Hunch, Cat, nor Atlas.

They can pick whichever chassis they want to release. If the mech is generally not popular, they will have to make it have decent hardpoints and have full basic upgrades (DHS, Endo, XL when applicable) and have it good right out of the box like the X-5.

They can go full symmetrical in design to be safe and none of the headaches that come with playing the Pretty Baby where your weapon types are on an arm+torso each. I'd really have been fine with 2 energy each arm, 1 each side torso, and 1 on the head. Symmetrical designs are convenient... and you know what we pay for. There's a reason why the 4SP makes all other hunchies look like grinding fodder.

If they put in an ECM Hero Raven they can claim it's not P2W. Just swap out an energy hard point for another missile. Instant profit!

I think that will change.

However, heavies won't get one... they already have 3 (two Dragons, one phract).

I'd lean towards the Atlas. The Stalker doesn't need another "Awesome" like variant.

My money is on either a Stalker or a Trebuchet being the next Hero Mech.

I give the edge to the Stalker though, because we just got the newest medium Hero mech (X5). The only other options are a Hero Spider or Raven, and I don't see them giving us either of those until the hitbox issue and the splash damage bugs have been fixed.

I think they will stay away from Hero versions of the first four, just to avoid us Founders complaining.

I think the next Hero assault will be a Highlander.

Well, they can release a Hero Spider with 4 ballistic hard points in each arm and we might see some money flowing here. That's 3.2 sustained DPS right there with 8 MGs!

i'm surprised no one's calling the jenner! think about it, what's the least contorversal non ecm, okay for targeting {raven hitboxes anyone?} and non percieved op mech in the game? stalker has many hardpoints so we won't see another big payloader hero for a while {pretty baby beat it}. atlas, though it's long overdue, lost it's chance for the assault hero to another of the least controversal mechs in the game the awesome pretty baby. that was an fairly recent edition so assaults are out. we have the x5 now so mediums are out, though hopefully a hunchback hero will be soon. we have 3 for heavies and catapults aren't in the best light at the moment {though i hear on the radio broadcast it's pauls fav} so i doubt we'll see another heavy hero which leaves us with lights. ecm raven's not needed for a pay to hero mech and spiders are still fairly new then the deaths knell is done though it was a while back.

it should be the old faithfull jenner that's the realistic bet.... but my money says atlas.

dont think they've done an hero mech of an unreleased chassis yet, ie no stock variants in the game yet.

I think that the Devs should "hit back" so to speak, and really troll us hard.

That means several consecutive hero mech releases, all with nothing but ballistic slots:

A spider, a commando, a jenner, a flea, and a raven.

I actually think the Jagermech is a likely candidate. They brought the Hero 'Phract out close to release of the chassis in general. Add in the fact that it looks like there are only 3 variants of the Jäger confirmed and I think there's good reason to add a Hero for the leveling options.
