Hi,
I have encountered, that in direct attacks on even when they are staying and I fire with 2x ER PPC and AC 5 - 10 (in Ilya) and am attacked by them, they are the winner.
Mostly because my hits only make yellow hits and theirs orange to red.
Maybe you want to inspect it?
Regards

Agreed. The YLW is a far more survivable mech than any of my cataphracts. The cataphract/ilya is a fantastic fire support mech but that AC20 is purpose built for removing components. Furthermore using an XL engine on a cataphract is virtually suicide.
Same thing for a YLW, actually. It's just light enough you can get away with 94kph using a standard engine
I can't even count the amount of 500+ damage games I've gotten on that thing after going zombie-mode with no arms and two medium lasers. Conversely, breaking 500 damage on a cataphract seems like a fools errand.

I see YLW's all the time, but it's rare that I get killed by one.
My secret? Aim for the shoulder. In many cases, they are running an XL engine and will die immediately. If they aren't, they still lose their AC20.
Problem solved.

srysly ? i go for CT only, its the bigger target ... and they keep looking at you to chainfire there tiny AC5's ...
last time i popped one with my 5 LL Awesome(ness) ... chainfired too, but my hits were better
edit: ER LL in center torso of the YLW works wonders ... even if they try to run away ... haha

For a moment there, I thought someone had a broken Wang.
It turns out they hadn't even swallowed the pill yet.
