Perhaps I have the date wrong or perhaps w/e is suppose to happen is somewhere on these boards. But I haven't read or seen a whole lot of excitement about the 19th.

So I have to ask...Is there anything to be really excited about? I've been patiently waiting for my clan mech or parts...w/e.

Or perhaps I have misinterpreted this Clan thing about to happen.

Do we get to use clan stuff or something? You will have to forgive me....I try not to get too excited about this game.

This.

The Clans invade this month, but for all practical purposes none of their technology gets into the hands of Inner Sphere Mechwarriors until at least November, and even then it's only high ranking officers/officials who have access to it. For common scrubs like us, it shouldn't be until next year at the earliest.

Clan mechs are NPC's?

If you think the upcoming consumables are P2W then you are delusional and should probably just leave, because I doubt you will ever be happy here.

do you also deny that they were implemented with intentions of extracting money ?? If you saw the first draft of consumables and don't think it is just a ploy to get money, and can only be detrimental to gameplay you yourself are delusional

Of course they were made with the goal of earning money. This is a business. But to be P2W you need to offer an advantage to the people that spend real money, other than convenience. The consumables in MWO are equal despite how you purchase them. Well, once you have unlocked the "Skill" to upgrade your MkII versions of the items.

The first proposal was flawed because it offered a clear advantage to the paying player. The new version does not have that advantage.

If MWO is going to survive then it MUST have steady income, and the more ways for people to spend their money the better. If you do not like to spend your money then you don't have to. And you will still have access to the consumables, with no reduction in power. It will just take longer.

Edit: I am not in favor of consumables and I would prefer that we did not get them. But I also live in the real world. I would rather have an Mechwarrior game *with* consumables than no Mechwarrior game at all. And they are coming, there is no changing that.

I'd be more than happy to fork some money out for Clan mech/mech's or clan tech (if I manage to wait that long for it to become available). But if I am going to fork some money out....there better be a noticeable difference (better) vs other nerfed stuff.

Guess I prefer or do not mind p2w...not much different than real life. Some have more disposable income vs others.

So delusional that I think ECM is great and balanced well, and ELO is the best thing since ECM.

Anyone else not played the game for weeks?

Garth told us for months that they didn't want 2.0 double heatsinks because "3 second Jenners" and didn't want to reduce PPC heat to avoid boating, then they go and introduce coolant flush, with the paid version clearly superior to the others? I think you're the delusional one if you don't believe they won't use this as precedent to try the P2W train again and again and again until it sticks.

"Actually, from my last reading... it's around August, when 'Clan Invasion' (he means Op. Revival) actually starts hammering hard on the Inner Sphere, we might scale our timeline around that. Basically, don't expect the 'Clan Invasion' in April."

Lots of awesome things on the 19th. New 'Mech, new Map, new pint job, bug fixes, fixes for joy sticks, etc.

The JagerMech should be tons of fun. And the map Is the biggest yet. :(

I wish we could get our Mech #20 already ;)

This is the patch with the consumables, right? ..

Going to have to go into Uber stealth mode with mye Atlas to avoid the airstrikes/arty.
And gonna blaze across the new giant map at a mind bogeling 54.2 KPH.

You now that conquest on the new map gonna be awsome, and not dominated with the team that has the most lights...

I am being awfully negative in a sarcastic way, Jagermech gonna be cool.... i guss

As a member of the FRR I should have access to clan tech on the very first second of the very first minute of that day. (something which TOTALLY did not influence my decision to pick the FRR... really :(.) Also, everyone should have access to Rakshasas. Say someone stole the design and made their own prototypes.

By the gods and all things holy, heavens forbid that PGI is not a charity and would want to make money!! If it bothers you, then stick it to 'em and don't buy consumables.
