In the mechlab, it says there is Heat Efficiency Max of 2. This you can go beyond quite easily on accident with mechs that have nothing but ballistics. There is no error message, it lets you play, and I paid it no mind for two silly builds I have used on my Cataphract-4X in the past (Two AC10+Two Machine guns, and Four AC5 and nothing else DHS, Standard 250 engine and XL 255 Respectively). 2.04, 2.06 Heat efficiency. While not the most effective robots they ran.

Then I started using Ravens, and got to the Raven-4X. I set it up as XL 210, 10 DHS, with a single AC10 and nothing else. Heat efficiency was 2.70+, which I didn't noticed at the time when I hit launch.

After ten seconds of searching, my computer bluescreen reset itself due to an unknown memory error. Was it coincidence? Was my heat efficiency on a Bad Robot SO ridiculous that an up to now unencountered error occurred? Either way, I've been too afraid to try running past 2 heat efficiency again, I threw on a single medium laser and removed a ton of ammo for 1.90+ Heat Efficiency instead, and have not gone back to my previously mentioned Cataphract builds.

I'm not asking anybody to set up super cool mechs to see if it makes their computer crash, that would be crazy and irresponsible. But I am asking, who has a +2 Heat Efficient robot in their garage that they use, and has anything strange happened with it?

Alas, I'm not a particularly computer innards savvy guy. I can never even remember what my specs are or mean, let along how to look them up. I just know "How Use computer, Game run on computer, Fire hot".
