Hey,
I ve been playing around with the PB and just unlocked all the tweaks.
Played the 9M like mad before and rocked the house with that one.
Now what I am curious about, and what feels a bit strange is the momentum and general behavior of the PB vs. 9M.
Is it just my perception, or does the PB decelerate slower? It feels as if the 9M is more agile even though it only has the 385, while the PB has the 400 engine.
Are there maneuver values related to mech variant that can be looked up somewhere?
I feel a bit sad about getting the PB just to find out it feels less agile than the 9M.

I don't remember where they posted all the info. I think they might be on a wiki somewhere. But there are variant tweaks for each of the Awesomes.
I love my 9M to death and have just stuck with her. Never purchased the PB.

Yes the PB turns better but decelerates slower than the -9M, those were added with the Awesomes quirks.

Yes, the PB's "quirk" is that its brakes suck. The PB is great though. I just played a match this morning where it pulled in 340k cbills (with Premium Time running). That actually makes the game worth playing.

The PB is pretty much unanimously considered inferior to the cbill variant. The HP locations are wonky, and while it's slightly faster then the other variants it decelerates slower and the decel is more noticeable then anything.

Alright, I played the PB some more. My conclusion:
I am honestly baffled by how the responsible game designer translates a supposed agile and fast mech, that is already handicapped by hardpoint layout, into MWO game mechanics.
This thing takes AGES to come to a halt. Not only that, it was a total waste of MC.
In light of that negative experience, my future spending behavior regarding hero mechs will be way more cautious. As there is no way to try before you buy it is a leap of faith when spending 25$ !!! for a virtual mech.
I was not expecting pay2win, but at least something that has no build in disadvantages compared to their stock mechs.
*sigh*
