I use a steering wheel, pedals, and a clutch.

Yeah! Analog turning is what I've been waiting for to break out the pedals and joystick and really start playing this game the way it should be played. Best patch ever for those of us who have been waiting for joystick support.

LOL oh man, in all my years of mechwarrior, a steering wheel. thats badass man. That whole concept is so foreign to me it makes me lol just thinking about it. Steering wheel for mechs? Missiles for gran tourismo then!

Also, i am really pleased about this news also. Construction of my mechwarrior command cockpit with joystick, pilot seat(old car driver seat out of mustang) with PC tower behind seat, and 50" plasma screen may now begin!

only wish there had been some kind of heads up.. All the devs answers posts seemed to indicate this was way down the line.. Just spent bucks on a g700.. Well it IS a sweet mouse and works great for tribes ascend tdm on patch days.
If this works as intended,, woe to my enemies..

Is the analog turning working correctly? Anyone tested it? Because on MW3 to aim I used to combine the control of both turning and torso to be precise.

Also, when I move the joystick back to center does the torso come back to center? I mean, if you move the joystick and stop at a specific position the torso stops moving and when the joystick is centered the torso centers?

This is important for precision, at least to me....

I didn't know this was already in. I am not interested in using joysticks, but I've seen as spectator how people with Joysticks contorl the game, and man, I am so glad I don't have to see anymore... It looked more like a struggle than enjoyable play to me.

WHAT?! When did they get analog turning in? I diden't see it in the patch notes. My hotas has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for a long time now.

The analog turning and other JS support is mentioned in the command chair March update but not yet in game. I'm expecting it to be in the 19th. I hope and got my fingers crossed.

I've been using a JS for turning for months now and can't wait to see this go analog.

Just tested the analog turning and it is not up yet... ;)

I'll put my X52Pro in the box again.... I bought it specially for this game (before getting into CB and discovery that JS still sucks in MWO)

Yep, I use only a Joystick and as far as I can tell there is no Analog Turning yet. So maybe the 19th.

and sadly the last update for win8 killed off the remaining functionality of the old, venerable and most awesome sidewinder force feedback 2 joystick.

..microsoft's only quality product ever .. ruined by their latest crapware.

sad sad sad...

I still have 2 sidewinders around here somewhere. Great joysticks. Don't have the force feedback version, however.

This is the best news I've heard all week. Even better since I finally solved the control inversion that had been plagueing me for the past three months. Now maybe I'll see an improvement in my stats.
