So I was just wondering, I know they currently do not have battlefists working (mech's with hands punching things). Does anyone know if they have crouch and other possible stances? I know some mechs could go prone this was a tactic when bombs were being dropped as jets deliver their bombs horizontally meaning they have horizontal movement while being dropped on a target, aka they are being propelled by the jets motion.

I haven't seen any crouching going on in any of the vids so far, and I've seen no posts about it by the devs (such as in a mech reveal post, but then, I've only read a couple). I'd assume it isn't in the game yet, but crouching probably will be sometime in the future, maybe even by the Aug 7th Founder's beta entry. Can't wait. Well, I can, but I'd rather not.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Crouch would be the only thing I could see them doing with battlemechs for a 'stance' other than getting knocked down due to damage. 'mechs aren't really know to prone themselves too often.

Prone is in TT and is a great idea for hiding. I'd love to see it implemented. Getting up and getting down should take a while though.

Actually, from what I've read, that's the kind of thing they probably will put in, but possibly not until after launch. They seem to be rather shy about putting too much on their plate so as to not make the deadline for their release. However, this is exactly the kind of thing you should throw in to the Ask the Dev's 11 thread. :P

EDIT: I say this especially because the Dev's seem to be very keen on 2 things. Giving the players what they want, and staying as true to TT as they can in a video game.

They have definitely already talked about using the tactic of shutting down your mech to avoid detection as part of a strategy.

Well the old MW5 video shows the Warhammer hiding behind a building from the Jenners Missiles. Since that is supposed to be ingame footage, I guess they will implement it sometime in the future. (Since they wanted to implement it in their first attempt).
