I can't wait to play this game!

I still have the disc for MW2 and honestly still play mech commander every now and again. I'm excited to finally be able to get back behind the virtual controls of a mech! I'll be very sad if they don't include the Masakari and the MadCat. Shoot....gonna go play Mech Commander 1 now.

Not at launch. If you understand the story, it is now taking place in the time Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries did. Before the Clan invasion.

Actually the clans started invading in 3048 and this game starts in 3049. The actual date that Phelan Kell met with the clans was some time after 13 August 3049 in the Oberon Confederation while he was on a mission there. (as per Lethal Heritage Novel). I know the 'full scale' clan invasion didn't occur for a little while after that (perhaps 6months - 1 year).
