if you get the mech that you have decided is the best, then get the c-bill xp bonus for lifetime , mmmm
far far better then getting a generic ,good but generic mech of a weight class but not your favorite?

come on this is a piece of cake and eating it to , an already great deal , and making it better by choosing
your favorite mech , its to good to be true, and it is asking for a lot.

hey if they do it Im there, get me a Raven instead of a Jenny , but I dont see it happening.

Ah, I think I see some of the confusion.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that you be able to use the workorder on ANY mech. It'd still be limited to only working on one of the original 4 mechs.

It's just that you wouldn't need to immediately choose which mech it applies to. You'd have some time to actually drive them around and get a feel for the game, before you decide which one suited your tastes best.

What your saying is more reasonable , But I think OP was about picking something different. dont get me wrong I would love to have my pick of a Mech Not just to pick a weight class, looks like Ill be getting a Jenny, but if they let us get more I would get the Cat also.

Since these are limited edition Mechs, I'm surprised PGI is limiting us to just 4.

None of us are going to know how those Mechs handle/perform, and many of us are going to have a "buyers remorse" So I wanted to suggest a possible resolve:

This goes on the assumption that ALL players will get 1 free Mech (Jenner, Hunchback, Catapult, Atlas)

Turn the "Founder Mech" into a "Work Order" and let it be applicable onto any Mech in your garage.

Let's say I take the Catapult and am playing the game. I then find out I like the Cataphract a lot. I can goto my Mech Garage and use this "Elite Founder Upgrade" Work Order to have my tech crew apply that bonus to that chassis. (A notice would appear saying 'Performing this upgrade will provide a permanent C-Bill boost to this chassis and apply a custom skin. These features cannot be removed from the Mech. Do you want to proceed?)

That way, it allows me the ability to test drive the chassis and to apply that bonus to a Mech that I know I'll be using a lot.

I love this idea. Especially since I'm particular to the Commando and would rather like to use the bonuses on it.

I'd support this. The only people who are going to have a clue about what mechs and roles they actually enjoy are the beta testers. There is little point having a lifetime c-bill booster on a mech which you thought was 'cool' but then basically dislike and never use again. Though, I'm pretty sure the boost you'll actually get from the bonus is going to be pretty small.

i´m perfectly fine with the founder´s mechs... the founder´s mech can be seen as a "moneymachine", and it will evolve with the game... it will always be competetive with any other mechs, because you can customize and upgrade it... but i like the idea of adding just the boost and skin to a mech of your choise, when you decided which machine you will define as your "working horse"

but like stated, i´m pretty fine with the founder´s mech like its been announced...

Fortunately the mech I was intending to get was included in the 4 shown, more of a factor for me is that I'm not NA based.

I'd like to see a bit more variety in the Founder's 'Mechs as well.. I'm planning on getting the package..but, none of the 'Mechs we're offered really appeal to me.
