I recently started piloting a DRG-1C. The LA and LT both have 2 energy hardpoints. I have filled all four of those hardpoints with medium lasers.
However, when I play, I only notice two laser blasts from my cockpit; one from the arm and one from the torso. All 4 lasers appear to fire according to my HUD.
My question is: Is this a bug? Am I really only firing two of my medium lasers? Or is this just a result of only "visually" having one laser on the chassis?
I know this is a total newbie question. Any help would be great.
Thanks!

So... How Many Lasers Do I Have?

You're firing all 4, it just only has 1 energy port in each area so it appears as if only one beam is coming out. If you switch to chain fire (default backspace) you can fire them individually and see

There are a few mechs, to include most dragons and certain commandos where the beams appear to come from one port even if there are more than one port. This is likely to be addressed as the slow progress with creating 3-D models comes along. I'm certain we'll eventually see the size and shape of things swap depending on what weapons we equip.

If you try out the Centurions you will see something similar, but slightly different.
All Centurions have 2 laser slots in their CT. Those hardpoints are set up in a "vertical" configuration. If you have 2 Medium Lasers in those points and fire them both it looks like a single beam due to your point of view. The cockpit is above the lasers and the second beam is obscured by the first. But both of them fire and do damage correctly.
You question about the Dragon and other mechs was answered above my post.
