This is the final damning proof right here. Notice Paul doesn't ask where people come up with these ideas, he uses the past tense indicative were, thus subtly indicating that his reference to Alex eating sunflower seeds was actually in the past and no longer true.
This is clearly part of some much deeper conspiracy to push out the PGI Devs one after another and Paul fears he's next, which is why he's trying to send us these carefully coded messages.
