A person who pads a handicap or acts as if he/she is at a lower skill level than he/she actually is so he/she can achieve better during competition that's handicapped or by skill level.
That sandbagger said his handicap was 20 strokes and he shot 10 over during the outing to win.

No clue if that is what he is talking about though...

Maybe if the 8man queue could actually match you up against 8 comparable 'smaller group' players like ELO claimed it would, there would be a REASON to 8man. Maybe if there were actual rankings and tourneys and game goals to be won or lost.
Instead, we have a very fancy demo, which they call a beta. We have one mode - shoot everyone. There are two flavors - steal a base, or steal a better quantity of five bases. Ultimately the game can easily played as shoot everyone. There are no overall goals, no ladders, no rankings, no real tourneys, and nothing to be won or lost for good or bad play. There aren't even repair fees anymore.
In short, 4man is the team mechanic this game is built around. If you only play 8s, more power to you. If you look down on those of us who 4, more power to you. When I get on, I want to play quickly, play often, and have limited downtime. I rarely have access to 8 people without including a large number of internet residents, and I almost never have more than 4 friends on at once. The choice is clear, 4mans is the team mechanic this game is built around.
Fortunately, no one is ever going to accuse me of slumming my skill level.

Exactly what I was going for, (hook, line, & sinnker) now lets talk....
Now for some real debate, I see where the Jager fits in, and it would "ABSOLUTELY" have it's role of a few things were different about MWO, the Jager is indeed a longer range support mech, it can't brawl, it "CAN" go kinda fast (at the cost of viability), but it does what some other mechs do better at a much degraded showing.
Now i'm not saying everything should be TT with weapons limitations to canon specs, "BUT" it MWO were more like TT, then things would be vastly different..
EXAMPLES: Mechs "NOT" being able to use certain weapons/modules, etc, etc, etc, would really be used for their intended roles (they aren't now), and not be the omni type mechs they are currently, but that would hurt MWO, and I agree it's more fun the way it is, "BUT" the Jager has very a limited role in "OUR" MWO, and that means it will be a dead end (remember what that statement).
I see Clan Tech (even though hated by many), as the saving grace in a way for MWO and I see now where MWO is headed, and I think that maybe 3 more months is worth waiting for a few things, and I see where thing are going for a few simle reasons that have (until today) been in the shadows...
EXAMPLES: Map size, Glitches showing shoulder mounted missile racks (seen em), mechs made for certain roles but for some reason omni mechs, certain weapons tweaks, hit boxes, the list goes on and on...
I know you were expecting a rant, "BUT" i'm seing a glimmer of things to come (if i'm right) that may just make MWO more than what some people thought it would be..!!
Sorry if I "TROLLED" you into this thread, but this is the first time I thought it should be mentioned.
GOTCHA....
EDIT: Yup, you feel dumb now don't ya... (wasn't what you thought)
DOUBLE EDIT: I stood up for the FED COM'S BLACK SHEEP when they got got trolled...

Errrr... Nah. The military has been using sandbagger for decades to denote lazy persons.
You're thinking of [Redacted], that's the racist term for someone of Arab descent.

So, wow, you make a vague claim of...something, then not only refuse to elaborate, you start talking about entirely separate topics? Yawn. Get thee hence.
e: Also, "trolled" does not mean what you think it means.
