Mouse is always superior.

I use a mouse and a nostromo gamepad. I prefer it to the normal keyboard.

Same here (but dammit, they just came out with another keypad with moar buttons!)

I've been kicking around the idea of getting some rudder pedals but then still use mouse/kb for everything except steering... I'm thinking I'd like it if I could have an analog turn rate, would help in the light circle jerk.

Might be interesting if you set your toe brakes to be the throttle up and throttle down keys...

My Logitech G27 works great since the last patch. Just bind the shift paddles to torso twist. Only issue is fighting mechs at different elevations, but shooting something that's jumping is pretty much impossible anyways.

Feels like I'm actually at the controls of my A1. Just waiting on Oculus support.

Yeah, I saw that too. I'm not sure I like the positioning of the joystick on the orbweaver though. I'm not about to upgrade.

Analog Throttle:
j0_axis_z (MWO options menu)

Modified User.cfg file:
cl_joystick_invert_throttle = 1
cl_joystick_throttle_range = 0

POV Hat 3:
Mapped Directionals to "A" and "D" respectively (including diagonals) in Saitek Software, leaving up and down as deadzones. Used for normal digital turning.

Analog Turning:
j0_rot_y (MWO options menu)

Rotary 2:
Modified with rubberized RC motorcycle 'steering wheel'. Set to "directional axis" in Saitek software. Used for fine tuning circle fighting torso shots <---works excellent.

Other Button Mapping:
Fire E = R (next target)
Fire D = 5 (fire weapon group 5) fully macro capable in Saitek Software
Clutch Button: TS Push-to-talk mapped (whatever hotkey used)
Wheel Button: F (center feet to torso)
Slider: Set to "bands' in Saitek Software. 100% band set to Left Shift (toggle arm lock)
