I Got the same issue with my Raven....legs destroyed but torso was intact...not even a scratch on it. Seen this now in 3 of 4 matches...one of those matches LRMs wasn't used.

Last night I was dishing out some LRM punishment for several rounds and I saw my targets lose legs and heads where before they primarily had just evaporated from the waste up. Notably, stripping the legs on a stationary atlas on a right oblique within 400m. (DDC's that think themselves invincible is a different story)

I shouldn't have even been able to get both legs. Based on previous experience i should have done primary damage to the right arm inwards until boom, but mostly I stripped the legs and he fell over. I definitely think something is up.

You guys are not correct.

My both legs were blown away by 1xLRM15 + 3xLRM5 while everything else stayed on yellow-orangish.

But get this: I was moving slowly TOWARDS the enemy (a Cat). And my leg armor was fine (40-50 on both). The missiles were not chasing me and because of that lower than they shoud be, they slammed my pretty centric and still my legs were blown away.

The splash damage radius is so large right now that missiles hitting the torso also hits the hips (which count as the legs) on many mechs. :) Stalker in particular I've seen this. It has a pretty short torso with high hip joints.

I see no problems with LRMs hitting legs. It means they are spreading more of their damage.

I personally think they still need to slightly reduce damage, to 1.5 per LRM, and increase their speed to at least SSRM speed (200m per second).

Why not? Lasers and cannons can hit legs. LRM is already underpowered as is since ECM was introduced. A small buff of being able to hit legs and cockpits is welcome.
