Crank down your mouse sensitivity. About 500-800 DPI is what you probably want to shoot for.

You also seem to be mentioning issues that might be lag/hardware related. Can you provide the specs for your computer (CPU, RAM, Video Card, etc)?

PC Corei7 CPU 920@2.67 GHZ 6GB of RAM
ATI Radeon HD4350 no idea on memory for this. HOw can I check

HD4350. Your framerate must be awful.
Might want to upgrade that.

So you joined the forums back in Aug 12, started a thread back in Aug 12, but you started playing two hours ago?

Seems legit...

wtf? a 400€ processor and a 50€ gpu from the stoneage o.O Who sold you this crap?

If you should reinstall MWO then go into the Traininsground. Press F9 to see your Frames per seconds (FPS)

Everything over 30 while shooting and moving is ok. The higher the better.

You have some mechs which can move the arms independant from the torso. This is not easy to control as a beginner. Use the trainingsground ;-)

The weapons have different speeds, duration, minimum range, maximum range, heat etc

MWO is not a point and click shooter. Without BT background and reading the forums you will have severe problems learning the game :-)

Still can't decide if you are a troll or just new to videogames xD

Then that is good for game. Thanks. Of course what is ELO?

In an ELO system, everyone is given an arbitrary combat value, sort of like how people are given a rating in Chess. When you enter a battle, your ELO value is compared to the values of everyone else, and the game makes a prediction about who will win. If you are expected to lose and you beat that prediction, your value goes up. If you are expected to win and you lose, your value goes down. If the result is the expected result (you are expected to win/lose and you win/lose as predicted) there is no change to your value. Each match attempts to match people of comparable ELO values so that the games will be balanced for skill.

Our ELO values are hidden from us per design, so you won't know what yours actually is.

Frame rate seems fine, images flow just fine.

System is 3 years old.

Frame rate seems fine it flows ok and I see the mech movements clearly. No jerking around. used training ground and it took me 5 real time minutes to destroy the stationary Commando since I could not get the targeting circle on the mech since every little movement of the mouse would swing massively on the screen.

Been playing BT since it came out, board, MW, MPBT3025 and Invasion 3042. So I know the mechs and weapons and the game concept.

Aside from MW have not been playing first person shooters.

Not that I need to answer but this has been in beta and I have been playing INvasion3042 until now. SO I joined up forums last year but never downloaded to play

I had people like you call me for tech support (I used to work for a phone company:)

Quote

"I can't figure out how to do "X."

"Ok, I can help you with that; let me walk you through it. First, I want you to press the Menu button, then scroll down and click on Settings."

(over the line: 'click... click. click, click-click-click) "It's not there."

"What's not there? The menu button?"

"There's no "settings."

"There should be... what options do you see?"

(reads me the contents of a sub-menu under Settings - they're trying to take shortcuts by guessing my next instructions.)
"It's not there."

OK, see the button on the right, under where it says "back" on your screen? Press that just once."

(click, click, click) "It went back to the normal screen."

"Ok, you went all the way out; that's ok; just hit Menu, and then scroll down to Settings."

"It's not there."

(Mute microphone and sob)

What you needed to do in the Testing Grounds is actually hit the F9 key and see if your FPS is dropping.

The first number of your videocard indicates what generation it is from (7 is current, so 4 is old), the 2nd number indicates what grade it's in within that generation (1-9, so your 3 is very low), the last 2 numbers are smaller grade definitions, not too important.
To get an idea of what video cards are good, take a look at this hierarchy chart http://www.tomshardw...iew,3107-7.html then go to the start of the article and check out each price bracket page to find something you can afford.

An FYI on that hierarchy chart. My GTX285 is in the 9th tier from the top, I get about 25-40fps, I wish I had something better. YOUR card is in the 24th tier, absolutely abysmal, you need something better. You probably want to shoot for something in the top 7 tiers. Good luck, the improved visuals and frame rates will blow your mind.

I'd increase the RAM, too, if you can. At least 8GB is recommended for MWO.

My buddy's computer is crap, but he gets decent framerates after the last patch so you don't need to crossfire a pair of GTX690's to make it work well. You could likely get a passable card for less than a hundred bucks, and you might just find yourself enjoying other benefits of it. I understand what 'don't have' actually means though, but if you ever get your system up to specs here's a beginner's guide thread you may find useful. <ALL> glhf

Aww, sorry, bud.

If you do find yourself with more resources in the future, remember this: Buy something that costs around 75% of whatever's on the market at the time. If you spend more, you're paying for novelty, and if you spend less, your gear will be outdated too soon - in either case you actually waste money. Just don't get a cheap card that's barely adequate - paradoxically, you'll waste money trying to be thrifty.

how

The OP is asking how to disable mouse acceleration in Windows.

Under Win 7.

Control Panel , click Hardware and Sound.
The top section says "Devices and Printers.
Under the header, you will see "Add a device" " Add a printer" "Mouse" "Device manager"

Click "Mouse"
This will open up a box titled "Mouse Properties"
The third tab is "Pointer Options"
Check the box for "Enhance pointer precision"

Your mouse will now act differently.
Adjust the speed slider until you are happy.

If you have mouse software, you can use that to fine tune things further.
Earlier in Beta we had to adjust "Mouse Polling" to 125 Hz.
And it solved this problem instantly.

I use Logitech Setpoint for this. I do not know if this software will work for other mice.
The problem you describe is the game not reading mouse position updates anywhere near as fast as your pc checks for this, otherwise known as " mouse polling"
When the two disagree, strange things happen.
I also have variable DPI on my mouse, and drop one setting in MWO vs normal use.
It is useable without doing this, just more precise for long distance shooting.
DPI is not the same thing as mouse polling.

P.S. Is the OP's computer a laptop? Specs sound like it.
If so, upgrades aren't really an option.
If a desktop, a 7770 paired with your i7 will run MWO very well.
And costs $110.
