I really like my 4 SRM6 2 large laser build
max armor except legs, xl300.
gets me going faster than a splatcat, with the same armor, but instead of pure splash damage i've got 18 points of precision damage (and it's actually more heat efficient.)
the mech is an absolute beast, but it does have the weakness of it's limited twist ability.

I may be odd, but I've been running a -A with a stock weapon loadout. Modified the thing to get more ammo and armor, but otherwise I'm finding the twin AC/2 twin AC/5 combination to work fairly well.
They also have the most wonderful rhythm when firing together!

If they didn't make it so you could NOT load even a fair amount of ammo, the whining would be epic.
Imagine a 6x AC2 chasing your previously untouchable raven around?
I think most of my deaths were engine or headshots.
Its interesting, but as has been said in a few threads, the novelty is wearing off.

I like it. I pilot Catapults, Stalkers, Centurions, and Ravens. The Jagermech fills the ballistic hole in my line-up.
It has really nice hardpoint options, and I like being able to see just a little bit of of the barrel of the guns from my cockpit; makes me think I'm in something more dangerous than I really am.
The real problem with the mech, in my opinion, has nothing to do with the mech at all; rather the problem with LRMs. I seem to be dying mostly from LRMs taking out my cockpit; something that really should not be happening.

Jager is a nice heavy and IMHO "niche" mech, Ideal for snipers, long range support etc. ... BUT its not a brawler.
Ofc with 4x SRM6 or pulse lasers etc. Its possible to make him a lil more "brawlish" but itll be a free frag for pure brawlers who will outmaneuver him quite easily (no arms, big cockpit, crappy armour etc.) and lights.
I got all 3 variants, and (tbh) Im not that sucessfull with them. In long fights pure ballistic builds tend to go out of ammo (quad ac5, 2x UAC/2x ac2) really fast...close range brawlers die to headshots and my balanced build is crappy becouse Jager lacks tonnage to mount some serious firepower (compared to cataphract's/stalkers etc.). I still like whole idea, model and ballistic weapon gfx, and Im 100% sure ill master him...but its not as good as i thought Itll be ;]

U/AC graphic makes me sad...looks like the U/AC replaces the R/AC and those things looked really cool
