The nerf is not broken.

First off, in open beta, the Catapult was stuck @ 140 degrees... with zero boosts to it because Twist X was broken.

Then, they fixed efficiencies a month ago. Twist X started to work, now making them go to a crazy new max of 168....

Yesterday's patch nerfed them back to what it was in open beta. 120 w/o bonuses... 144 with elite doubling Twist X bonus. The K2 "suffered" the most by getting 110... which is 132 with the elite doubling Twist X bonus.

Anyone that says this was a major nerf is clearly not understanding why this nerf was in place.

I do not remember Catapult torso twisting being complained about when it was stuck @ 140 max.

check the forums because your memory is faulty. hell i did a post about it and you are talking open beta only i was here for the closed. The more important point is the chg and the speed

And you are missing the point that nobody takes the builds you are talking about anymore. I can't remember the last time I saw a Catapult the wasn't Splat/Boom/Gauss. It's not hurting any other builds because no one brings them. These nerfs were a vain attempt to fix the rampant boating.

And just to be clear, nothing is going to fix it. As long as mech lab builds are allowed in ranked games, MWO will always be a twink-fest.

so should we also nerf the crap outta dragons cuz they are rare? what about jenners?
you do realize that you're basically saying anything not in the current metagame dosen't matter, right?
I'm a cat pilot and have been since literally the first time I played this game, i use a LRM + dual med laser c4, a LRM + quad med laser C1, and dual LL+ dual ML + dual UAC/5 k2. not once have i made a cheese cat. That being said, I play(ed) regularly with these builds and did good and had fun, now i can't track targets or suppress chasers while i run away and it just isn't fun anymore.

also, if you want them to stop allowing mechlab builds in matchmaking, then you've really missed the point of the battletech series as a whole

How does the torso twist range/speed compare to other mechs lacking arm actuators?

For balance I would think it ought to be worse than the jenners/raven/cicadas of the world but better than the stalker. It should be pretty close to the same as the jagermech

What a joke its not even a real nerf. Played my splatacat all night and never even noticed any difference at all.

Uhh, well except for the insanely inflated damage numbers.

??? it has that because of 126+ mech . Mech at 90kh or better the cat as it is now no longer track them. and cat alway had a better track then the jager .if it not agile it is not a cat.

Uhh, that logic is bad in how many ways?

A: Cats are Catapults, nothing agile about them.
B: Cats are fire support mechs, no real need to be agile there.
C: Jagers are AA platforms. Have to be pretty agile to track a fighter me thinks.
