Six ballistic slots? With machine guns being a joke, these slots are kind of wasted on a 65 tonner..... however, there could be an awesome idea for a hero mech.... 4 Ballistic slots in each arm! and allow it to equip the biggest engine in MWO. 1 Energy and/or 1 missile slot both in the center torso.... Jump Jets too. ....Would be the embodiment of awesomeness. We'd call it the MG-Jager

MG ? Put 6ac2 in that thing, you'll kill an atlas in 6s flat.

Yeah, I LOVE my new Jagermech DD. I call it BoomStix. Shoulda called it Vera...

So far, I've tried 4 UAC5s. ***** for armor and speed, but it didn't matter; in two matches, with that kind of firepower, the enemy team had but seconds to kill me before all but the heaviest mechs were dead. It's the new glass cannon, and I'm in love with it.

Damn straight I thought of putting 6 AC2s in it. DAKKADAKKA to the max! And I'd not be against a build, if MGs are ever buffed properly, that uses 6 of them and 2 ERPPCs as mains. "ZORCH-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-ZORCH-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-ZORCH-d-d-d-d-d-d..."

Tried:

6 MGs and 2 PPCs + lots of heatsinks. = Pretty good, 6xMGs actually chip away at damage done by the PPCs.

6 AC/2s = Major heat problems.

2 Gauss Rifles, 2ML and Max Armour. = Great sniper - Profile of arms is high enough to peep over terrain.

Even with Max Armour though, this mech is more fragile than a Centurion.

And overheat in....3.4s, IIRC. That Atlas is quaking. QUAKING

Edit: Extendable to 5.6s with buffed Cool Shot 9x9/18. So with one consumable you can almost kill that Atlas. Using multiple consumable modules will, of course, allow you to break the 6s Atlas Kill Barrier. Once.

Edit 2: QUAKING I TELLS YOU

:-\ Either I am a Centurion God or you are living in a parallel universe with flimsy Centurions.

If you can fire for 6 seconds without overheating.

Ref the Cent reference... it was not a dig on Cent fragility, more a comment on where in the scale of toughness the Jaeger lay.

For a heavy, it's not particularly durable - which is exactlly as it should be.

with the arm speed tweak enabled have you seen how damn fast this thing can move its arms up and down?
I was like WOW! Must look really funny from the outside.

Too bad their turning rate sucks on the other way. Even with an XL 300 it's turning like a truck.
