Started in 1995 with Mechwarrior 2, played virtually every PC and Console game since then.
In 2003 got into the Tabletop and minatures and have been involved off and on with it since then as well.

Second half of the 90's... started with MW2:Mercs, followed by MW3 and the TT.

Started with MechWarrior 3 a year after its release, followed by MW4:V and then MW2 (my algebra teacher gave me his copy of it). The rest is history!

Started with MW2 31st Century Combat when I was what... 8 years old? Followed by Ghost Bear's Legacy. Then dove into MW2 Mercenaries (which was a MUCH better game) via the Titanium Trilogy rockin' my 2mb graphics accelerator. HELL YES.

Then MW3 and Pirate's Moon. MW4 came out but my PC wasn't good enough to play it--I was still using the PC that I played MW2 and MW3 on at this point. Mech Commander and Mech Commander 2 fit in there somewhere too.

When I finally played MW4 I found it to be a huge dissapointment but still played all the games because at least it was better than mechassault, and MW3 would no longer run on any of my newer hardware

I tried playing the original Mechwarrior via a NES or SNES emulator or something and it was just a little too far in the direction of too old and ugly. I still play MW2 to this day though, there is nothing out there that matches the same campaign experience. AND THE SOUNDTRACK WAS RAD!!

Round about 14 years, My older brother had the tabletop and the video games so i got my expierence when i was really young, have to say i am extremely happy that they are finally going through and getting ready to release a Beta for this.... its been too long since i have had a good Mech Warrior match against players.

that and the Tesla systems will be getting an update for this from what i hear, would be epic to see a spike in Simulator battles with those
Also, a little sad to see they are using the Madcat name instead of the Timberwolf, but again... its a preference depending i guess

Looking forward to seeing you guys on the battlefield!

i understand Buddy, i'm in the same boat. BUT while we may not have the cat like reflexes of the younger crowd... we do have the deception and just plain evilness of age
