Throttle Bug

Throttle Decay & Arm Lock are unchecked.

My key configuration is not standard. The patch gave me 2 binds to 'b' and at first my mini-map and Battlegrid map did not work at all. Fixed the 'b' bind issue and mapped a few keys to the new options, restarted the game and my mini-map & Battlegrid started to work....however....

Game starts, my Mech is instantly at 100% throttle.

During game, if I view the BattleGrid, type in all-chat or team-chat, hit 'tab' to view the teams, or hit ESC and go to the options menu, I slow down to 0% throttle. When I exit the map or hit enter to display my typing, I'm returned to 100% throttle.

If I'm at 0% throttle and I view the BattleGrid Map or type in team-chat or all-chat, when I hit enter or exit the map, I'm put to 100% throttle.

There have been a few other odd cases of me being put from 0% to 100% throttle with wierd key combinations, but I've not been able to pin down exactly what I did at the time that made this happen.

I've got this problem except my mech goes into reverse instead of 100% forward. Really iritating. That being said, when this has happened in the past it's been related to my flightstick controls. Try unplugging them temporarily and see if that solves it. If it does, configuring them may fix it.

I've got this same problem. It killed me twice last night, as the big maps kind of force me to look at the map now and again. After I couldn't troubleshoot it, I had to start powering down mech where I hoped I was out of sight, then checked map. Sub-optimal.

A lot of people have had to reinstall MWO after this last patch before getting complete functionality. If nothing else works, this should at least fix the problem.

On that note, take the time at some point while you have a good installation and copy it to a thumbdrive or whatever, cause MWO will happily boot from one. Much nicer to have a 2Gb saving point if you ever need to reinstall again, and then only need to update to the latest patch rather than to download the whole thing again...

Good call. Unplugged my Joystick (which hasn't been used in at least a month and gave no previous issues with this game) and it works fine now. Thanks.
