I have a quick question about the current beta and the beta that will be available to most on July 17. Will it/Does it now contain the economy portion of the game? So far there has been very little information about the economy and how contracts and planet taking missions are going to happen and these are a few of the most appealing aspects of the game to me.
So for anyone in the beta, or anyone that is going to be in the beta on July 17th, I will be, what is the status of the economy? Will it all just be 'quick battles' or what?
Thanks,
Trog

They've been completely tight lipped about the economy so far and with the NDA in place no one in Beta will be permitted to answer one way or the other. I've been curious about how the economy is expected to function as well.

No one knows and people that are in beta can't tell us we will just have to wait for nda to be removed.

I hope it's as robust as the action portion of the game.

Ah yes, I did forget about the NDA. Sorry beta testers. Well we can speculate but that takes all the punch out of the question. Guess I will just state my hope that the economy portion is in the beta, and when I get in the beta (hint hint
) I would love to test out the econ. portion of the game.

Eh, it was still worth asking. Maybe a dev will decide to answer and give us one the scraps we're all so eagerly wagging our tails for lol.

My hope is that the economy will be balanced enough that it is difficult for players to build up enormous fortunes to the point that they can buy anything they desire at any time.
I believe that an economy that forces hard choices when buying equipment would encourage better, smarter game play.
Easier said then done, I'm sure.
