Hi guys I have an idea about how to make heat management better and how flamers could take part.

Lets talk about heat:

Ok right know for all I know when you reach 100% you overheat and shut down or you override and suffer damage.

UP to here fine, but.

It dosent take into acount how much you overheat, for example lets say if got a mech that every time it shoots its heat goes up a 20%, if im at 90% heat and y shoot I will heat up to 110% and shut down, but suffer no damage.

If y have another mech that every time y shoot it heats up a 50% and y shoot at 90% heat y will overheat to 140% but still suffer no damage, and just shut down.

My idea is to make heat management more difficult and to balance flamers (later) there should be a threashhold of 120% or 110% whatever, of heat that even if you shut down your heat is way to much and your mech starts to suffer damage and munition starts to cook off.

This will be great cause will make people more care when alfa striking, and at long term make battles longer. Extreme builds (Im not agaist them) will be that extreme builds, and more difficult to use like lots of pcps and stuff like that.

When it come to flamers I dont know to much of how they work here, but what I do know is there must be something wrong cause there not on the battlefield. And for example in MWLL thay were quite effective.

My idea with flamers would be that if a mech shuts down or you by heating it up force him to shut down, if you heat him by more of the threshold I mentioned before you could actualy destroy him. This shouldnt be a 2 second task but if that mech you are burning doesn´t receive any friendly help he would cook.

If you have opinions or ideas port them up.

Cya on the battlefield

Did you try the revised version of the flamers in this patch? Try it out first, then come back with an informed opinion.

If tried the flamers and yes it takes like 2 or 3 minutes and a couple of overheats to destroy a component or mech. And y dont think it cooks of any ammo or explodes the mech if you heat it up to much. Havent tried in multiplayer cause I wont survive a few minutes standing near a mech burning him.
