I went to the testing grounds to test the new changes. I got Alpine so I decided to take a walk and look around. I hit F9 (I was testing my FPS with different graphic settings.)

I noticed that it gives you your X,Y,Z location, with Z being your elevation. Just for fun I tried to find the highest point on the map.

Here's the challenge: What is the highest point you can reach while throttled down and not out of bounds and not jumping?

Post your best heights for this mini-game here if you want.

My best so far:

Alpine Peaks: 2017.7 meters.

Frozen City Night: 253.3 meters.

Tourmaline Desert: 512.8 meters.

Question: does Z represent your position on the terrain? My real question is if mech height changes the readings somewhat.

I think that your mech height does not matter. But there are some places that you can or can't go with certain mechs. I will bet that on River City and Frozen City a jump jet mech will get to the top of a high structure and win.

Well, granted. If you're trying to get to tall places nothing beats the JJs.
