with the arrival of the jagermech i decided it was time to move on to ballistics.
had money saved up when it came out so i got the DD with 6 ballistic points. went all out...
first night playing i tried all kinds of builds, 1xAC2, 5xMGs, 2xERPPCs was nice, but then yeah im used to ppcs from my STR-3F which had 3 of em (regulars), sometimes id go 4 if i were in a cheese-ey mood. so had to keep going. 3 UAC5s was a killer but felt more of an ilya thing.. so in the end, i decided to go for 4xAC2s, thats an 8 damage punch, its not much cause its all i have but i know i can be good with it, i just have to get my timing and tactics in-line.
hers the thing, i have a crap video card and my gaming is usually in the red scale fps (on lowest settings), so playing this mech is toughhhh.
as of now i manage to get 200 damage done at the least, if i die earlly on, a good game is +500 for me, but i want to go +700.
im gonna be upgrading my video card in about a week. im definitely expecting to get much better with better preformance, seems legit dont it?
anyways, i cant wait to see the game in better settings, its like playing lara croft at the moment lol
if you run the game smoothley and have your settings on medium and higher, could you please say which graphics card you have?
also say whats your favorite weapon and whats your longest kill with it, just 4 fun, dont have to...
i want to choose something that i know works well for this game.
im a student and therefor my money has got to be spent to the last available penny. but wisely.
have a nice fight and remember..
keep on pounding til the end(o) !

Don't go for AMD. Some of their cards are experiencing rendering problems, and not just on MWO. If you get one of the bad cards they refuse to acknowledge the problem and you're stuck with a slab of dead metal.

Gee, that doesn't sound biased at all.

I've got 2 GTX 680's in two different PC's and they run everything I can throw at them like a dream.Keep in mind,It's not just the card you need to worry about.Especially with MWO not offloading more work to the card than it does.MWO is really CPU intensive. So consider that as well.If you are on a budget,I'd suggest splitting the funds between a "good" cpu upgrade, and a "good" vid card upgrade rather just getting an awesome vid card. There are plenty of great cards out there for under $200 that would run pretty much any game out there right now just fine. You don't necessarily need a $500 card just to play.
I highly suggest nvidia.I've had about 6 of their cards over the years and they have all been absolute champs. The only 2 ATI cards I ever had both ate crap in under a week.
*edit:I play everything maxed out silky smooth,60 fps (vsync).not sure what it would be without, but have seen it at 100+ fps when i turn vsync off*
