We still need the scrambling of the screen from PPC shots. ECM counter wasn't enough.

no, what we need is for it to do heat damage, like a flamethrower;

this is part of the original design, check sarna dot net.

the ppc should be increasing your target's heat by a least a little bit, it doesn't in the game.
the damage is low at 10 when compared to a gauss, but if this heat is added then all would be good

agreed with many of the others here..PPC(ER) are both well balanced. ONLY thing I cant figure out is the min range on the PPC. I really would have thought that the ER would have had a min range and not the other way around.

EDIT: So I went and looked at Sarna on the PPC and found that it does indeed have a min range...go figure

the only problem ive found with PPC/er is hit registration.

if you go to smurfy's mechlab and click on the weapons you will see the heat damage listed for the flamethrower.
0.2 heat on the target.

the ppc does not list any heat damage even though it should, this is a mistake - with the game!
there's no reason the ppc shots shouldn't increase 0.1 heat on target each confirmed hit

With the advent of the hex-PPC stalker, I lean towards the heat on the regular PPC is a tad too low. Actually, I'm more bothered by how the ER large is way too hot, and the PPC is way too cool. Something like PPC heat increase to 9.25 and/or a corresponding ER Large heat decrease to 9 would be better.

When was the last time anyone boated an ER large? Seriously.

PPC min range is about 90m I think. Still does damage under that, but significantly less. The lack of the min range on the ER model is why I have it on my Cent -AL instead of a standard PPC - I can reach out and touch someone, and still keep the "main gun" in the fight when I close to brawling range.

wrong the heat of a ppc is 10 er 15 and er large is 12 anyone who plays tt knows this. it would be nice if pgi played tt
