im going to get operation inception, thats a no brainer.

But you ony get one choice of founder mech (which is fair) and i am not shure what to choose.

you got the Jenner for light hit and run scouting, so xp on seeing the badguy first and helping long range get there hits in.

you got the Hunchback, which looks badass and you get that Autocannon 20 to wreck stuff with. i am assuming that you get the origonal model here and not the swayback mod.

you got the Catapult, LRM's and med lasers for all your killing needs, and some jumpjetting for that sweet spot, again this is assuming you do not get the choice of the PPC variant.

last but shure as hell not least the Atlas, one of THE most iconic mechs, hundred tons kill anything dumb enought to stand infront of it.

me personally, probily stay away from the jenner, i aint that good at close recon. the catapult, ahh ill buy one later.

so for me that leaves the hunchback or the atlas. now i cant find where i read this (because search is down) but i beleve the founder mech bonus is 20% to c-bills, as well as being an elite model mech so five tiers of small bonuses (unless they change that in beta).

so what the the Inceptionists going to choose?

Honestly, the Atlas is the most iconic 'mech in the lot. That'll be my pick if I can only choose from the four.

Some speculate that only four 'mech chassis will appear as "Founder" 'mechs, based on the images provided.

i think spork is mocking the existance of the other class ranges of mech, not asking if you can designate any mech as founder.

Probably the Jenner or Atlas, as I plan on very specific medium and heavy mechs and none of them are founder models.

Jenner or Catapult. Very hard decision, but I think I'll take Catapult since the difference between the Jenner's is unnoticeable. The Catapult however, one looks like an AH-64 and the other looks like F-16.

The mechs are not going to be original variants... their going to be modified by the devs... so they could end up with the shittiest loadouts... offsetting the bonus to cbill and xp they give you.

I thought about the Jenner, a lot in fact, but as far as light Mechs go, I'm simply more prone to pilot a Commando. As such, I'm falling back on the Hunchback. It's become one of my favorites, ever since my first BT game, in which I used it to headshot a Catapult with that beautiful AC/20. Good times

Just love the looks of the founders Atlas compared to the others. The Catapult was a close second.

well true, but it looks like you can modify the loadout at least, admitidly not to OmniMech standards, but you should still be able to tweak your design a bit.

Either the Atlas or the Hunchback.

I love me some AC-20's.

Out of the four choices the only one I want to play is the Jenner so easy choice for me. First 'Mech I'm going to buy is the Cataphract so between those I should be good for a little while. My main concern is if the Founders 'Mechs will be moddable in the 'MechLab. It'd really suck if I couldn't use some that $80 in game currency to upgrade the Jenner a little.

If it's a tossup between those four, the Atlas.

Catapult or Atlas, mostly the cat for maneuverability and to see how DFA works, and the Atlas for it's ability to play Kick the Can with most things smaller than it..

I believe common sense would lead us to guesstimate that each chassis will have a founder variant at the time of purchase. To do otherwise would make a few people upset to the point of not spending their monies.
As for the mech weight joke, there actually is 2 more classes not in game: The Ultralight Class ranging from 10 to 19 tons (Roadrunner(apocryphal)), and the Colossal Class from +100 to 135 tons (Ares).
Protomechs are not classified as ultralight due to the fundemental difference in design and use.

I personally want a Founder Shadow Hawk 5S. A man can dream, can't he? Until then, I'm going for the Gentlemen's Atlas with the *******' monocole on the right eye.
