Here is a the premise.

Due to the current tighter cluster patterns, if the Dev really want to keep "Missile Splash Damage" in the game, give it to the AMS system.

If AMS gets a kill shot on any missile on the outer edge of any cluster, the resulting explosion should knock out 1 (or 2) of its closest neighbors while possibly knocking others off their flight path thus they spiral out of control and either crash or air burst. :( (for the larger clusters perhaps)

The closer to the center of the larger clusters, the more of the exploding Missiles neighbors get affected.

And Cluster sizes would be determined by how many Missiles were launched via Grouping and not how many tubes were assigned. So a 6,6,3 15 would ALL be affected by the Splash mechanic despite flying behind each other in order.

Or, even cooled would be a hit on the front 6 would create even better chances of the rear flights to get damaged as they fly through the first debris field. ;)

Please this. It works predictably and reliably in mwll. You can do your math if you see an lrm40 mech, form up and ignore it or otherwise. I really can't understand why ams in this remains untouched at it's current effectiveness.
