Reviewed handful of forums regarding sound issues, Distortion or static. Many isolated it to speaker mode 2.1/5.1. Many said previous patches corrected it. Haven't seen it discussed recently so here is a update.

Constant sound distortion with no modification to user.cfg Tested in multi-channel 2.1/5,1 and SPDIF 2.1/5.1

System (Drivers current)
Win7 64bit
i7 920
6GB 1600
X-fi Music
Radeon 7870 (Sound distortion also with recently replaced GTX 260)

From a previous forum I found these settings to add to user.cfg which seem to sound resolve issues.

s_CacheSize = 50
s_FormatSampleRate = 44100
s_Obstruction = 2
s_ObstructionAccuracy = 0
s_ObstructionUpdate = 1
s_ReverbType = 0
s_SoundMoodsDSP = 0
s_VariationLimiter = 0.3
