Hey,

I wrote a lot of :words: on the newest patch. Since I'm new to writing in a boring and bad manner I'd like everyone to take a look at it and critize everything that comes to their mind.

Leave Comments either below the article (no registration required) or on reddit (no email required to register).

Thanks in Advance.

Words are overrated, one picture says all about the latest patch

Of course, in the last months nobody visited our site.

No, jokes aside, I've just started to write and like to have some more comments from people more familiar with MWO/TT. I'd love to get some constructive feedback.

This is kind of an awkward time to post a patch review. The hotfix is coming later today, after all.

Well that's entirely correct, but it deal with the general aspects of the Patch and not with the deeper changes that will be wrought upon the Meta of MWO. I already took the liberty of hinting at a quick hotfix since PGI has been able to deal with serious problems in a short time frame before. I'll openly admit that the game is still far from being finished nor bugfree.

Good read, not overlong. The undocumented features are nice to be aware of (I was fairly sure on Desert's temp, hadn't noticed that the terribadness of the MG had fluctuated slightly). Good call on raising the tinfoilhattery the way you did.

One thing I would point out is that the consumables debate is a spectrum. I'm personally against having Coolant Flush in the game because I don't think it's a good mechanic. I can live with it as long as it's not P2W though (which it's not), no game will be the 'perfect game' for everyone (or generally anyone) after all. But I certainly don't feel any betrayal at it's inclusion like some do (though the abrupt about-face when they'd previously shot it down like a stupid suggestion doesn't look very good). I know it's not something that you touched on in the report, but more consumables will be coming, so it will come up again, and it's not a case where there are just "the informed vs the pubbies".

Edit: I heard you like reviews, so I did a review for your review.

Well I personally would also have prefered if PGI would have forgone the implementation of Coolant Shots/flush.

1) Much better than I could do. But then again, I be much bad with wording.

2) I'd rephrase "Each module dissipates 6, 9 or 18 heat per second as per its name." The 'per second' makes it sound as if it's a continuous dissipation over multiple seconds.

Cheers.
