I will also agree with another poster that the TBT itself is to big. I am willing to say that 8.5/10 kills are because of center torso destruction. I will rarely lose an arm during battle, and for that matter take off an arm of a TBT.

From behind, the Jenner Rear CT is only that small hexagonal rhombus in the center. From behind, the SRM rack and spoiler are all FRONT CENTER TORSO.
Are you serious? Considering enemies fire from a downward angle, no wonder I take so much CT dmg from behind!

Everything hits dead center torso, everything. I just died to streaks while running dead away from an X-5......he was straight behind me.
All front CT hits.
It also applies to direct fire weapons. there is no way to shade the front CT on a Jenner.

So far three times today, all while running DEAD away, I died with barely scratch rear and NO ******* center torso.

Still, I'm not sure if doing anything about it would be a good thing. I like the current balance, it means you can't survive prolonged brawling but you can still do a lot of damage with hit and run tactics. Increasing side torso size would probably cause it to be too good at brawling, and would need further rebalancing. Perhaps if they moved some of the CT max armor to other parts it would remain in balance.

As you can see based on the hit boxes, it is very difficult to hit the spider, Commando, or Raven in the CT when firing from the side. The Jenner conversely has more CT surface area exposed at its side that arm, ST, and leg combined. Not only that, but I believe the Jenner is also the only light mech that has a size able portion of its CT visible from the rear.
My suggestions.
1. Make the rear section of the CT count as RCT like it is supposed to.
2. Extend the side torsos along some of the sides of the CT. Probably not to the extent of the Raven, but maybe more like the Catapult?
I think you are right, the should redo Jennar hit box, and make side torso larger.

But with 3Ls currently dominating light mech combat it's ridiculous that the Jenner is so easy to kill.

Therefore, yes, Jenner's hitbox needs overhaul.

I haven't used my Jenner-F in a while because I was grinding master on my D. In my D I'm used to constantly taking front CT damage when shot from behind and was kind of surprised to see that my Jenner F actually took rear center torso damage! I had to reallocate my armor values too keep myself from dying to back strikes so often.
Hope they fix the D hitbox soon. Would be nice to properly spread damage like the other light mechs.

Technically if your CT hitbox is bigger than torso twist range only allows you to be hit more. Such as shooting while running away, yea, that means your literally saying, hit my front CT since I am looking at you. As you say, if the Jenner became the next 3L that is now beatable, that means the Jenner is technically way below the 3L since the 3L can be torn apart now. Basically saying that both of those arguments are invalid. Your other argument that Jenner's are faster is completely invalid as all Ravens and Commandos I believe can run as fast as a Jenner, and they can carry streaks, and we all know where they hit 60% of the time, which is fine. It is that they carry ECM so our streaks do not effect them.
I have literally lowered my RT and LT down to 15 points of armor and I still only die by CT kills.
Yes the design has a protruding CT, but so does the Raven, and they got and still have a hit box benefit.

The issue isn't whether or not the Jenner "needs help."
The Jenner's front center torso can be hit from behind - and frequently is by streaks. It's a platform that is practically hard-countered by anything with streaks.
Streaks hit CT on virtually any mech from any angle. Same with LRMs.
Not to say the Jenner hitbox isn't weird, but at least it's not a Cicada.
