Streaks hit CT on virtually any mech from any angle. Same with LRMs.
Not to say the Jenner hitbox isn't weird, but at least it's not a Cicada.

Did you see this?

It's not just streaks, A large portion of the rear Jenner hit box actually counts as CT.

The reason it's hitbox is like that is because back in closed beta, the Jenner was the "Raven" of its time.
Everyone complained that it was OP, and impossible to hit and had messed up hit boxes that absorbed all damage and blah blah, same thing people did with the Raven.

Anyway, it's wonky hitbox is a result of that, so don't expect a fix, it was intentional.

I am not sure about that theory, but the issue still stands.

The Cicada and Jenner share the same issues. Their head portion is counted as 100% CT, thus makes hitting the CT very easy.

Actually the Jenners problem isnt the head. The missile rack on top of the mech counts as front CT from all angles, making it easy to CT core from any angle.

Also it has tiny almost impossible to hit ST.

big advantage being that your side torsos dont blow out wuickly. however i do agree hitting the jenner from behind hits the CT front all too often.

At the top of this page there is a screenshot of a jenner taking front CT damge from a rear shot. I confirmed that the missile rack counts as front ct from all angles. Is this screenshot visible?

I'd agree with this post. I find damage spreading much more difficult in a Jenner vs other light mechs.

I voted yes, but I want to add that, just because I don't recall ever dying to a side torso pop in my little Jenner, It also has the best K/D spread of any of my mechs. It's usually quite easy to avoid damage just by going stupid fast.

As the pilot of Heavies and Assaults, as well as the occasional Cicada, I find Jenners ridiculously easy to kill compared to other lights (I'm including Cicadas in this category).

The front CT melts off under Medium Pulse lasers and simply disappears when hit by my Stalker's two ER PPCs, even when striking the back.

That said, I'm not surprised that this issue exists, seeing as the developers of this game allow other issues of greater magnitude exist seemingly indefinitely.

I'd rather have rear shots hit my front CT cause my Jenner has like 6 armor in the back.

Doesn't it say something if you can put a ridiculous low amount of rear armor and get away with it? I mean try putting just 5-6 points of rear armor on anything but a jenner.

Yes, but I want a chance to brag about what a good Jenner pilot I am.

I think its just an overall hitbox/netcode thing. I've taken front damage when hit in the back in pretty much every mech at one time or another, whether piloting or targeted, It seems to happen more in lights. I notice it more in my Raven since I've been playing that a lot this past week.

I honestly dont play jenner, but imo the mechs shud all have their differences, if we fix them all the time to be equal, than in the end it might as well just be 1 light.
All i am saying is carefull with those changes, and tbh i find jenner take a lot of hits befor going down.. so weakspots must be somewhere, maby its just me, but i think jenner has the strongest "health" of the lights.. might be wrong but some friends of mine feel the same..

Briken hitboxes forces Jenner's pilots play carefully. They are receiving much more damage than gaining. Surviving in jenner requires more skill than survivng in Raven (because you can't spread damage, everything hits CT-front).

But it's bug that must be fixed. Like barn-size CT of Awesome - do you cal it "differences"? When 1 mech has X points of armor (CT), other has X+Y (CT+Torsoes) - it's complitely broken.

This is what needs to happen to the Cicada:

Side -

Front -

What this does is not change the front profile but from the side, it will be extremely hard to hit the CT. This is also the problem shared with the Jenner, from the side, it should be hard to hit the CT.

Good, but roof-top must be CT, it's common for all builds. But I love this raven-lile side-torso design.

There is no other mech that has an extended torso like this. So I don't think it's "common".

Also, since I can not take a shot of the top, it's hard to show, but the top would also be split in half for CT and LT/RT.
