Thanks, PGI. I can't even begin to imagine what "temporary" means on your time table but something tells me SRM's and SSRM's will be a waste of space for some time.

All of this just as I was considering spending real money on this game...shame.

This post is intended for the developement team; I understand they actively follow this section of the forum. Please don't waste your time posing something like "this is how it is supposed to be in MW..." I really do not care and I will not read it.

So why post it on a public forum? If you have something to say directly to the developers, email them at support@mwomercs.com, or send any of the lead developers a private message on the forums.

What you are doing is called grandstanding. Also probably soapboxing.

Or you can wait for the temporary fix to missile damage to be replaced by the permanent (until next breakage) fix to missile damage before you go sell off your mechs.

SRMs and streaks are still viable LRMs on the other hand :)

wait so you can't kill or totally cripple a target with only one shot of LRMs or SRMs now? So you're as 'uneffective' as any build that relies on energy or ballistic weapons when one shot a target? I feel sorry for you :)

I have stuck with this game and adapted to every change. I will continue to do so. I have 28 mechs, so it's not like my options are limited. I don't feel like running just one mech type anyway. I'll save the LRMs for playing a SUPPORT role if I am in a four man, softening up targets for the snipers and brawlers. I will pug with my others.

Never sell a chassis. Today's junk chassis is tomorrow's killer mech waiting for a wobbly dev to make a change.

My friends splatterpult still kills people in two shots. Just he has to aim more, rather than have a glancing blow make limbs fly everywhere. I think he'll live.

And light mech fights have just become downright brutal with the lowered damage flying both ways, though I think streaks are hitting my CT nearly every shot (probably splash from the shoulder/hip target locations) that isn't blocked by an arm.

Odd, my SRM4s in my Jenner worked just fine yesterday.

While your at it, why don't you take a break completely from the game and come back in a couple of months, and the rest of us serious people will continue on BETA testing the game and take this seriously, ok? Because you are obviously not here to help.

I think the hotfix brought everything into just about perfect balance.

No complaints, sure there are 1 or 2 things that could be tweaked but over all i'm happy.

The new missile damage numbers are great. I still run my SRM brawlers and my LRM boats, I still get kills.
Stop QQ'ing and use your head for once now that your insant-kill LRMs aren't ingame anymore.

Honestly, I think the LRMs are a touch too weak right now. I would like to see how the feel at 1.0+splash instead of 0.7+splash. If that change makes them too powerful then dial it back a bit until you are back at 0.7, but I cringe at the thought of going lower than that.

That said, they are *much* better now than previously, I just don't think they are quite right yet.
