Spider SDR-5D http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=52 I picked one up last night. The jump jets are fun but the damage is very very low compared to my Commando 2D and Raven 3L ECM scout Mechs.

thanks. yea, i got a pimped out 3L already, just havin fun with these cheap lights.

spider does seem a mech more suitable to conquest mode, the 5v i play can only recon, snipe (ERLL :P/distraction/flag capping/contesting (in the air you are still "in the flag" hehe.

in some cases i can leap in and pic off a weak torso and bounce away but the 5v is tough(to play). made mine w/beagle and adv sensor, adv target decay and target info gathering. fun to bounce up high somewhere and fill the team in quick where they are, tough to get any real damage tho. super fun leading 3 or 4 after my fragile arse tho! especially if my team mops up the remaining, but horrible if it doesn't work out hehe

The SDR-5D is an excellent light 'Mech as long as you can aim lasers consistently.

SDR-5D "Recluse" (I name all of my Spider 'Mechs after spiders -- one is Huntsman, another is Trapdoor)
240XL
Endo Steel chassis
Standard armor - 208 points
6 jump jets
11 DHS
BAP
ECM
3 Medium Lasers

It's not easy mode like the COM and RVN ECM-Streakers, but it's still quite deadly.

You can even do a build without BAP or ECM that's deadlier with 3 Medium Pulse Lasers. Of course, other players wonder why you don't have ECM...

cool, think i'll pick up a 5D since i'm just a few rounds from "arm reflex" :P and finish the first tier on this 5v. and these things are CHEAP. the perfect engine can always be costly though. still have managed to make about 100k a round through spotting and being a team member *puffs out chest* bouncing in and out of the crowds REALLY ****** them off and they want to kill me because they know they could, really helps out the team to get the enemy to turn it's backs. hilarious when i get blown to pieces haha
