I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't do much with the paint job, just stripes and pink. I thought this repaint would have made more sense.

Rather interesting. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it is the first mech that has hardpoints there. Plus, if you want AMS, you are not taking up what is valuable torso space in an assault mech. You are also losing a slot or two in the legs for ammo placement.

It's BT, so I wasn't going to dwell on how AMS would work lower on a mech chassis anyway.

1.) The opening below the 6-tube missile launcher in the Left Torso doesn't show any indication doesn't show any evidence of a laser lens (unlike the openings on the Left Arm). If it is a weapon port, might it be a single-tube missile launcher (e.g. Narc) or a ballistic hardpoint (e.g. MG)?

2.) What if the "Heavy Metal" isn't actually supposed to be Rhonda Snord's 'Mech, but that of a copycat/wannabe/groupie?

Well... looking at the model, if it wasn't for the variant differences (IE no big LRM or lasers in side torsos) it would be pretty spot on. Only other thing I notice is the arms seem a little slender, but that might be the angle of the shot. The arms are likely narrow from the from but wide from the side. I do wish they did something more the model's side torsos than fill them in with big bland rectangles though.

1: doubt it is ballistic, single tube possible.
2: I think it is "inspired" by snord's mech. But hers was actually just a stock 732, with speakers and paint. So it does not add much to the mech portfolio. So they used that mech as inspiration and thus we now have Heavy Metal.
