In addition to the total cumulative heat indictor currently on the HUD, there should also be the dH/dT indicator on the HUD as well, similar to MW2. This new indicator will tell you how fast the heat is dissipating (heat dissipation gauge). This might be helpful in assessing internal heat sink damage.

Sure. I'm down for more stuff in my HUD. Always nice to have more cool stuff to look at. While we're at it, how about a range indicator next to the current target? Right now the game just shows distance right next to the actual mech in game. It'd be nice to have it come up as soon as you get detailed mech information in the upper right hand of your HUD.

No need.

There's a screen in every 'Mech cockpit that shows exactly how many heat sinks are installed, and how many of those are functional. Plus, Betty tells you when heat sinks are destroyed. It's extremely easy to tell when you don't have all your heat sinks functional.

And Byk -- you want the range info on the target and on the damage/weapon display? Why? It's already in the immediately accessible area exactly where it's most needed. Again, no use in polluting the HUD with unnecessary redundant info.

the best thing about that HUD is the map overlay. Our current HUD has so much clutter.

Maybe one day we will be able to customize our HUDS.
