I'm trying to reinstall but this is the third time it reaches 1gb download and it gives me a message that some mesh file is corrupt and resets the whole freaking download.

Is there a direct link to the file rather than use this silly launcher/installer?

Nope.

Could ask a friend for his install files, and then it could patch from there? In the future I recommend not removing the game or whatever it takes to need to reinstall it.

Delete files from temp folders:
** Path: C:\Users\*Your Windows Session’s ID*\AppData\Local\Package Cache
** Path: C:\Users\*Your Windows Session’s ID*\AppData\Local\TEMP\MechWarrior Online

then try again. It is usually the temp file doesn't get overwritten that causes this problem.

thanks. The real problem is 'try again' though. This is just silly how i've a 15mb/s connection and PGI's servers barely transfer faster than 60k a second. Its been 6 hours and it still is half the download. They should put the damn file in a mirror server and let us FTP it or something.

I'll keep this in mind.. I don't know if I can erase those two files while it is 'patching' (downloading really) the 1.7gb download.

You're trying to download at a peak time. If you were in the game, you would notice your pings were higher than they normally are during the week too.

Your slowdown does seem excessive though. A few weeks ago, I got some new computer hardware and was toying with whether to install Win7 or Win8 ... so I did both. I ended up installing MW:O a total of four times over the span of a couple of days. None of the downloads took longer than 15 minutes for me. I did the installs during late-night U.S. hours though. After some testing, I settled on Win7 -- couldn't stand the touchy-feely crap in Win8. Maybe I'll switch when Win9 comes out...
