Hello! I'm pretty darn sure this is the wrong area to be posting this, but I keep disconnecting when the game starts! It simply closes the mechwarrior online closed beta playing window without any errors, beeps or buzzes. The game simply freezes then kicks me to windows desktop. The first time this disconnection ever occurred was 20 seconds into a game starting and it simply kicked me out to the log-in screen saying I lost connection to Mechwarrior online. The second time I was only in-game for 10 seconds and it kicked me to desktop. I'd like to stop ruining other people's game experience by asking how do I fix this problem before I start another game and probably disconnect again! Is anyone else receiving this issue?

I'm having a similar problem. I log in and get to the main screen with the mech lab, pilot lab etc. tabs, but they're all greyed out, and the window then always just closes.

The "BETA Support" section is the place you wanted, either start a new thread there or have the mods move this one, and you'll find plenty of people willing and able to help you.

This should be posted in the beta section. Also if you keep crashing send an email to support@mwomercs.com describing what happened and attach your crashdump.dmp file to the email. The file can be found in the user folder of the MWO install. This will help them figure out why it was crashing. Then maybe try to reinstall, reboot, and then patch up. Hopefully you can get this fixed soon!

Hi,

Yes me too i keep disconnecting.
Ive send report to the DEV, got them all what they requested from me.
Still didnt fix the problem. Now they told me to un-installed my game and installed again.
Did that for about 5 time. still dont fix it. Im getting tire of TRYING to play this game.
Now if it only be me, you guys shouldn't worry about it, but the problem is you have 1000's of
people with the same problem. This doesn't look good for youre game.
Please fix it cause i would be very disapointed if i would get to the point that i just dont want to play no more. I spend 50$ every months on this game and im sure there lots of other people like me that spend money. It would be bad too loose all that money from 1000's of people.
IT's NOT my computer the fault it's on you server or something else.
with all the info ive send, the dev said that everything look good from my side.
so chance are it from your side that there a problem.
SO PLEASE FIX THIS

3 things:

1. Good job on using the search function to find a thread related to your topic, you have restored some of my faith in humanity

2. While finding a related thread is great Necroing a thread more than 6 months old is probably excessive. but still thanks for using the search function (i can't say that enough)

3. This topic really belongs in the feedback forum or better yet in an email to support reporting it as a bug rather than throwing a tantrum in GD.

Normally I'd be harsher about your content but you did use the search function and that deserves some recognition

This is what PGI suggested for me when I had the problem and it seems to have worked for me:

I recommend you to uninstall the game and delete everything that could remain from the previous installs of the patcher.
To do so, uninstall the game via the Control Panel then delete the following folders:
C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online
C:\Users\*Your Windows Session’s ID*\AppData\Local\Package Cache
C:\Users\*Your Windows Session’s ID*\AppData\Local\TEMP\MechWarrior Online
(If some of the folders above does not exist, this is not a problem, please proceed to the next steps)
If you are using a wireless connection, please wire your computer to your router with an Ethernet Cable as it will help during the patching process.
Reboot your computer.
When rebooted, please close your anti-virus and firewall, download the new patcher available on our website (http://patcher.mwome...rriorOnline.exe), try again and let me know how it goes.

Manually force treaded optimization, triple buffering, and v-sync.
