I appreciate PGI for making a new MW game. It's fun as hell. There isn't really any other game I'd rather be playing right now. Yea sometimes I get distracted by Minecraft or Civilization V or TF2, but I like coming back to MWO. I do damage, I kill, I die, I laugh, I cry*, but in the end I have fun.

The negative people are entitled to their opinion. If they aren't having fun, that's their problem. I'm of the opinion that they take themselves and the game waaaaaaaaaay too seriously. Boys, it's time to get your head out of your arse and smell the molten metal: grow up.

true :D

It really is too bad there isn't a Jenner variant with ECM to at least somewhat offset that vulnerability.

I remember when ECM was announced and the Jenner was gonna get one. The loud-crowd pitched a ***** almost as loud as their complaints with 3rd person. It's amazing how these forums can resemble a high school sometimes. It's even more amazing that PGI can deal with that level of noise.

So yea, I guess I also appreciate their tolerance :(

Had the guts to risk their financial necks in a genre that has a very rabid and unforgiving fanbase.

Kudos on that one!

I am glad that PGI's tournaments allow noobs to feel like they can play the game. The tourney's put people in subpar mechs and let everyone else shoot them up. The core player base feels that they are doing something new and the noobs are happy that they can actually kill something.

I am glad that PGI "fixes" things like a bull in a china closet. They put something in then heavily nerf it. This allows one group of people to exploit something and then there are tears on the forums. Then they nerf the thing they just put out and there are new tears on the forums. I guess this is suppose to make the majority happy but it looks to me like they are just making everyone angry at one point or another.

I am glad that every mech variant is viable. Ok, I am glad that most mech variants are viable. Ok, I am glad that I know that a few mech variants are viable and that I know what they are. It is a shame that I have to play with a bunch of people with no clue about this fact.

I do like the fact that PGI has remained true to their non Pay to Win model. That and the gameplay keeps MWO installed on my computer. Though I do go and play other games. MWO is just a lesson in self aggravation. Kind of like sticking my hand in a meat grinder or banging my head against a brick wall for fun.

The good: Mech designs, these things are damned beautiful.
The bad: Weapon balance, but they're getting there
The ugly: their treatment of crowdfunders, and partial abandonment of the vision that so many paid into.

I'm thankful that they're able to lie to us with a straight face, and without remorse. Who doesn't respect sociopaths?
