With light lasers, light pulse lasers, SSRMS, and now finally SRMs nerfed there is but one weapon left...

the LBX10 finally rules melee combat.

well med lasers got nerfed from 3 heat to 4 from TT values (which is a 33% increase.)

I see no mention of either MG's or Flamers here.

those aren't weapons.

(Although the flamer is interesting now.)

Or...well....COULD be if PGI had some sense.

INTERESTING flamer is pointless.

Do i pick 1 ML or 1 Flamer...not exactly a hard choice.

The flamer being "potentially pickable in the right setup and mech sometimes if you get the right setup and manage to get in range" is better than "bad."

Actually if you boat more than 3 SRM6's you will do about the same amount of damage as before this all started. This is because hit detection on SRM's used to be just about worthless, now its nearly perfect, end result is anything with 3 or less got nerfed anything with 4 or more will not notice.

Quite. Boats get boatier, and everyone else who doesn't boat suffers from the loss of a viable weapon.

I disagree, all the missiles are still viable.

I have noticed that the damage from LRMs seems more consistently spread over the target. But that's without Artemis.

SSRM is working just fine.

SRM is not as punchy true, but hey it's a hotfix.

The real fix is still coming...so stay tuned!

LRMs suck, but SRMs feel fine to me. Not sure what all the angst is about.

Although I admit I haven't tried them as extensively as others are likely to have, missiles don't feel ridiculously weak (like, say... machineguns or flamers). They're noticeably weaker, though....

Maybe its just all my experience in my 3x MG hunchie skewing my perspective?

LRM's are most certainly not fine. There is no point to using them unless you boat. You will get better performance from stripping them entirely and mounting more heatsinks or S/SRM's. Because at best a THIRD of your missiles will actualy hit your looking at only getting 5 Damage out of an LRM 20 shoot at ANY range.

I'm nowhere near an MWO playable connection at the moment. What's this SRM nerf you speak of? Did they "fix" the SRM splash damage? I read the patch notes, but didn't see anything in there about that.

They are still very powerful for their weight. IS Medium Lasers in TT are the best weapon (you just need to boat them).

You're using the wrong 'cada. You're not doing it right unless you're carrying six.

Anyways, I'll take my MLs, MPLs, and SRMs over an LBX 10 anyways. It's so heavy that on my Ravens and Cicadas I can put an entire weapons payload in for the weight than a single LBX 10 would cost me, and since they're so expensive all the other weapons almost cost less too.
