The biggest problem with the Raven, is that they are 300ish years more technologically advanced than any of the other mechs cureently in MWO, and the fact that the Sensors/ECM system they've come up with is pure awful, and somewhat nonsensical (What the hell good are sensors that only see what you can see with your eyes anyway? In other games, that's PASSIVE sensors)

In any case, the problem that can currently be addressed EASILY is:

It's too fast - Ravens do 97.6 kph in TT rules - why the 50% buff? Spiders are meant to be almost 40kph faster than Ravens.

Knock them down where they should be - they are a spotter/tagger - not a magical hyperfast interceptor who can somehow kill Assault mechs despite being repeatedly large-pulse-lasered in the face.

It isn't the raven, it isn't ECM, it isn't the 3 medium lasers.

It is two things:

1. Buggy hit-detection even with the new hitbox. Sometimes a 3L overheats and sits there like a lemon, you unload an alpha in his face and it registers 0 damage. Today a red cored Raven shutdown in-front of my cicada, 2x LL and 2x ML straight into his CT from 30 metres, and he was still alive.

2. Streaks are the most retardedly overpowered and stupid weapon I have seen in a competitive multiplayer game since shadow priests and warlocks in WoW with their insta-cast DoTs. A streak SRM is like a high-damage DoT to your CT, that requires absolutely zero skill to fire.

One on one with a raven 3L I may win, but that is because I burn their legs off with a vengeance. No matter how crappy the raven pilot, however, I will nearly ALWAYS end up cored, not from laser fire, but just from their auto-aim SSRMs. If PGI truly wanted this game to be skill based they would either get rid of SSRMs (not possible due to "lore") or at least change them in a way that actually required skill to fire.
If streaks continue with their 100% hit rate they will forever be overpowered. Trollmando 2Ds are only slightly better because a good alpha will destroy a commando fast, and they have nowhere near the torso twist a raven 3L has. I find it insulting to be thoughtlessly killed by SSRMs when my cicada requires the utmost in concentration and well-placed laser shots to get his win rate to 4.11 and a KDR of 3.78.

Players that continue to have difficulty with ravens must have stopped playing. However it is the best light for the scout/raider in 8 man.

Give the raised engine cap to the 2X from the 3L, the 2X has enough problems and would at least give it something unique.

This right here. All the goodies for the Chasis went to the 3L. Walk the 3L back down to 124kph and bring the 2X up to 150kph. Give a different Raven something worthwhile and force 3L pilots to do a little thinking about how they attack since they will move slower than they used too.

I haven't thought about making the other Ravens on par, but many of you generally agree that the 3L has too many goodies going for it.

Even if the speed was just brought down a touch, it would keep it on par with the other lights.
