i will say that i have been playing this game since closed beta, and yes i am a founder. but that doesn't mean that im any good at at the , in fact im kinda suckled while i have enjoyed playing and spending money on this game, i have noticed lately that i cant last more then 5 minutes in game without getting killed. fine you say , you suck die. but that's not it i come home from work and only have a couple of hours to play. i wand to choose mw mech and choose my map, and i want to be able to choose who i play with, not some random fanbois from germany who drop as one and kill me i 2.5 minutes. is it too much to ask that at the very least we control over which maps to run? before we commit to paying real money for a mech. i fell that for me almost 1 year down the road with this game, its gotten worse then it was in the closed beta.

Sounds like you would rather play MW4 with your friends than an online game. It's free to download.

I have yet to see a map that makes a mech's load out inviable. Short range brawlers can do fine on Alpine and Desert. Long range mechs can do well on Frozen City. Sure, each map has it's own challenges. But finding how to overcome them is part of the fun.
Voting for maps is on the way, but probably a long time off.

You do realize that if they give you a way to choose the map the same guys from germany would too and would have more optimized mechs for the typical combat on those maps. Diverse maps are better and at least give equal chance for everybody to excel.
Well our standard response to people who can't survive or shoot is to give them heavy or assault mechs with large lasers and srms. That way they stay out of trouble and deal enough damage to be of use in the match.
Try the stalker with 4 Large Lasers and srms or maybe a catapult K2. For pugging I'd go for the lighter option so you don't gimp your team as much as an assault would. Then again if you play more you should end up with people of similar talent as yourself.
