To whom it may concern (Game developers)

(I UNDERSTAND THAT IN MWO I AM THE PILOT)

Pilots?

For me it would be a plus

All pilots managed under users call sign not visable

Implementing pilots!!! Any takers?

Being able to hire from a self generating pool and assigned to certain mechs or able to switch around between mechs.

Maybe a make your own pilot section at a cost of course(or not), Edit history, face pic, image, edit equalized start stats I am not sure.?????

Pilots being able to die... Only in hardcore I guess :-)

It would make the eject button(what eject button haha) applicable and may in still fear in the player.

Because of time served with pilot & attributes gained or some form of incentive (not related to modules)Attachment to pilot through career Merits achievements etc.

miss the fear associated with simulation/games of war

Why
More interesting not like it needs it.

If I am sending my 4 mechs to another planet so to speak, then why not pilots.
I always hated loosing a pilot.

It adds another aspect to the game that was there before in MW 4 Mercenaries

Fear of loose everything Mech/weapons/electronics/pilot in hardcore for an intensity boost

Pilot careers

I would be able to eject when all my weapons have been destroyed or by gut.

Plus it is a simulation type game... Isn't it (but still a game)

There is my idea

Thank you

kind regards

There's something wrong with the formatting of your post, but from what I gather you'd like a recruit option to put in our mechs?
I'd be happy with a normal mmo-avatar with some customisation (uniform patches, stripes, different neural helmets etc., in short a bit like EVE) but that would be waay down the priority list.

Pics in place of the neurohelmet faceless thing on launcher UI would be cool.

And a BIO and/or some stats accessible via social tab.

Something customisable sure. But probably not that other stuff.

You can make multiple accounts. Thereby having multiple pilots.

Styalized pilot portraits (like how EVE used to be before the character creator, or a MW:DA card) that has Bio and whatnot for RP purposes. Other than that, no real impact to the game, but it helps the community warfare side of things.

You know how some people used to DC whenever they even thought they might die? You're suggesting encouraging that kind of behavior and rewarding people for it. I don't want to see Atlai on my team with 80% sitting motionless on the map because their pilots freaked out and ejected rather than risk death.

Also, you are the pilot, not the "manager". While to might be cool to do this, PGI's whole thing is marketed on you being the Mechwarrior.

Neurohelmets aren't like the open-faced helmets our pilots have now. The helmets from the MW4 vids were based on that, and they were wrong.

That "generic" pic in the game is actually what pilots look like with a neurohelmet on. The visor is how the MechWarrior sees the world around the 'Mech -- the sensor feeds are projected there.

And as to the OP ... no. This isn't a first-person version of Mech Commander.

You are playing the part of a single very wealthy MechWarrior. You might be sending four 'Mechs to the planet, but you are the one and only MechWarrior, and you can only pilot one at a time.

If you could actually lose stuff in this game, the forums would be flooded with crybabies and people would rage-quit after a bad match. This isn't EVE where you can do easy-mode missions/incursions or do manufacturing/invention/PI/market-war to fund PvP losses.

The game will be plenty interesting when Community Warfare hits and we start conquering planets. No need to pollute our game with completely unnecessary stuff that will have zero influence on what's happening in the game.
