Anyone come up with fixes for all the joystick stuff they broke with the last patch?
..if you have to ask, you're not using a joystick.

Does anyone have ALL available user.cfg assignments? Maybe we can user.cfg solutions..

It wasn't enough to keep your question in the other joystick thread? Just had to go create your own didn't you?

Narcissism much?

Wait...something broke? I know I cant assign the battle-grid to a joystick button or jump jets to an axis (for foot pedals). But really I don't even have to mess with the .cfg now.

Why do you use the MWO option bindings at all? Does your joystick software not have profiles for that? I use an x52 throttle modified for analog turning, and I assign everything but the axis themselves to the default MWO keys in Saitek's software. It's actually more convenient.

You don't have the ability to assign a keystroke(s) in thrustmaster's software? That seems strange, but I don't own thrustmaster stuff. I just setup up my joystick profile with binds to the actual keyboard keys I want to use. It's literally the same thing as if I was pressing the keyboard. I clear EVERY joystick box in MWO options, except fot the axis. No binding to get lost....the game thinks I'm using default keyboard controls.

See this thread. There is a definite bug in the new patch that's clobbering the button-bindings:

Thanks guys..
Mr..found a (really) archaic looking utility for ALL ThrustMaster sticks. Gonna give it a try.
Lentil..checking it out
I'll sound off if I find solution..

what i noticed today when i tried to configurate my xbox controller was that the game cant have both triggers assigned seperatly, both count as the same button, so as Mr 144 said, use a program to assign keys if they cant be assigned through the game itself.

Cougar or Warthog?

Easy, neither. Anyone with those is using TARGET and having zero hardware issues as a result of the last patch. I continue to mourn for anyone not using a comprehensive emulator to manage their control scheme. No level of support by PGI will ever amount to what you can (and have been able all along) achieve with a good emulator. MWO thinks my stick is a kbm, and allows complete control over x/y axis. Things like absolute vs relative and curve types are a trivial non issue, and I can also switch sensitivities on the fly in addition to macros and the ability to toggle things etc, all on default controls other than binding throttle (and soon rudder axis...).

All the new control options have really enhanced the control scheme possibilities, and have made mech driving that much funner/more immersive. I love my HOTAS now more than ever!
