my thoughts are not as gamebreaking or gamechanging as others.
I would keep ECM and BAP effects as they are, but finetune them a bit.
ECM should be a little weaker and BAP stronger.
As ECM is exclusive to some Mechs, its naturally that its a bit stronger then equipment that could be installed by all mechs like BAP or AMS.
on ECM:
ECM is fine but surely to good for its price, slots, tonnage,...
I would just limit the radius of the ECMbubble by 30m to 150m.
This would leave a sigle RAVEN as dangerous as ever in the infight, but would make it little lesser viable for groupcloaking (or at least a bit more difficult).
Also the targetingwindow for ECMmechs would be from 150m to 200m. So the ECMmechs would be little better to target.
on BAP:
i like the Idea of BAP, especially paired with the Sensor-Module and the Target Info Gathering Module.
What i dont understand, why does the Sensor-Module increase the Detectionrange on an ECM cloaked Mech at 230m/250m and the BAP does not.
I think the BAP could be much better with the same effect on targeting ECM like the module.
And imagine if you could stack both effects!!!
In this case the detectionrange would become 300m.
Still in a close combat with Ravens not useable (therefore not to strong)!!!
With the ECM change from above the targeting window would be from 150m to 300m.
i think not to hard for the lights and pretty ugly for the Atlas-D-DC (which is very strong with ECM).
The ability to detect shutdown mechs is a nice idea but practically it does not come much into use. An increase in range from 120m to 150m or 180m could better the chance of targeting a shutdown mech.
