You mean in like real life? I wouldn't have anything playing, but for the sake of the thread...
Probably something like this, since I am kind of a clan Wolf guy.

The Trashmen: Surfin' Bird
Anaal Nathrakh: When Humanity is Cancer
Cannibal Corpse: Make Them Suffer
Wolfchant: Clan of Cross
Mayhem: I Am Thy Labyrinth
And if the drop is essentially a on-way ticket to keep someone occupied while other assets are relocated:
Last of the Mohicans: Promentory

As I'm first dropping into the battle:
Hank Williams Jr., All for the Love of Sunshine (a la Kelly's Heroes)
During the fight itself, as I'm turning my enemies into scrap:
Dropkick Murphys, Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya
After the battle, as I walk away victorious:
Michael Bublé, I'm Feeling Good

Because compleatly honoust... my actuall answer to this question, "what woudl I listen to"... would be "None"... I barely even listen to the ingame music. Most of the times I will turn down the ingame music to anywhere from 0 to 50% in volume, depending on how intrusive it is.
Yes, intrusive... I find most music, no matter how much I like it, and especialy if I actually do like it, to be intrusive to my gaming experience.
I pretty much prefer to have only the ingame sounds on, no matter how bad or repetetive or what ever they might be.
For me, most of the times the music just get's in the way, especialy if it's good music that makes me listen to it as I play. Because that means that the music is actually taking me away from my focus on the game.
I tend to be the type of gamer that get's extreamly focused on the game (it's the same when I read books, or watch movies/tv-series, or the few times I actually do draw and paint (photoshop)... basicly my hobbies that I can do solo). I tend to get so focused on it that people usualy need to raise their voice at me for me to even realize they are talking to me.

It is when I am in this focus that I tend to enjoy my self the most, and also to various degree's tend to "do my best work" so to say. So if I have music on, especialy music that is not native to the game, I will often eventualy actually hear the music, at which point I have lost focus on the game.
So yeah... no music for me. At the most I might have ingame music on, but never loud enough to drown out the ingame sounds.

Fits the whole "piloting 55 tons of bipedal death" theme better than the more traditional versions, IMO.

Granted... the one (and only) video I am going to post in this particular post is mainly because it's epicly hillarious to me... and because some of the people out there who enjoy Anime that contains robots (or anime in general), might like this one.
Behold... the caped angry epicness that is: Ichiro Mizuki

Edit: The weired thing is that it's strangly mesmerizing, since I first found it many months ago I keep going back and listening to it... think I listened to it 20 times in a row the first day I found it...

Anyway, other stuff I might play is InEx, Korpiklaani, Garmarna, Philip Glass, Bach...
In particular Villeman og Magnhild (InEx), Rise (Korpi), Varulven (Garmarna), Akhnaten Act 1 Scene 3 (Glass), Toccata en Fugue in D minor (attributed to Bach).
