It would be cool to have some type of Smoke Screen that prevents visual contact for a certain amount of time, except with thermal vision.

It could be a piece of equipment or a module with a limited use.

An advanced version could also block thermal vision.

A really cool idea is if you could set fires to all those trees on the map to make smoke screens.

ECM doesn't block visually a target. The smoke screen don't prevent a ssrm or lrm to lock on.

It would be cool to have a variant of artillery strike that fires smoke screen rounds rather than damage dealing ones. A team could use it to cover their advance or retreat. I think it would have to block thermal vision by default though, otherwise there is no point.

Smoke Warheads for LRMs and SRMs, falls under special ammo. We are not likely to see those until they get alternate ammo types up and running. There are also Smoke Shells for traditional artillery so maybe they will give us a consumable for that.
