I usually consider between 2-3 tons per A/C-2, in the current game, if they were A/C-2s, it would be able to fire for 15 seconds. And if you add in quickfire and the same conversion between UAC-5<->A/C-5s, its about 9.22 seconds of firing, then add in the Ultra double fire, you don't even need that...
I think I don't understand the desire for so much dakka.

About the Bane... FUGLIEST 'MECH EVER... Don't know if even that much Dakka makes up for the eyesore it is.

Because it works at destroying an Aircraft rather quickly, and can turn those guns against a Mech at extreme long range if needed for defense. The Kraken is a second-line defense Mech after all and if were next to a supply line/base, that's a lot of Dakka protecting the line. Like many Russian Tunguska tanks with legs with guns 4 times as large.

10 UAC/2s would create 40 Heat Per second
You would need 271 additional DHS to cool it.

You don't get a benefit from chain firing more than 2 AC/2 currently. I would assume then that would be the most you'd want to chain fire for a UAC/2 to prevent jamming.
My current favorite build is the JM with 4 AC/2, and I seem to get the best results when I set two groups of 2 on chain fire.

Also to the guy before about jamming. In MWO you would insta jam all 10 on the first pull.

It should be EXPENSIVE to run 8 LRM15s. But I want a Bane 3 as well.
